Jeffrey Weinreb (“Wine-Reb”), MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon who joined the office in 2023. He graduated from Brown University and attended medical school at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine after completing a spine surgery research fellowship at New York University. Dr. Weinreb then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at George Washington University followed by a spine surgery fellowship at the world-renowned University of Maryland Medical Center/Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.Dr. Weinreb’s focus is the diagnosis and treatment (both non-surgical and surgical) of the neck and back, including extensive training in minimally-invasive spine surgery. He believes in utilizing non-operative treatment whenever appropriate. Dr. Weinreb strongly believes in patient-centered care and shared-decision making to develop individualized treatment plans with each patient.Dr. Weinreb has published over 50 research papers and textbook chapters, often presenting his work at national meetings. He is especially interested in research determining which patients are most likely to benefit from surgical versus non-surgical treatments. He is a member of AO Spine, the American Academy for Orthopaedic surgeons, and is a former president of the American Medical Association New England Medical Student Section. Paul Haeder (“Hay-der”), MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. He joins Proliance Pacific Rim Orthopaedic Surgeons after practicing in North Lake Tahoe, California, where he gained extensive experience treating professional, Olympic, elite, and recreational athletes in a wide range of outdoor sports.Dr. Haeder specializes in advanced arthroscopic techniques of the knee, hip, and shoulder aimed at getting athletes back to their pre-injured level of sports participation. He believes getting back to full activity is important for not only the elite, professional, and Olympic athletes, but also for the recreational athletes and weekend warriors.In addition to his sports medicine surgery, Dr. Haeder also performs shoulder, knee, and anterior hip replacements to help the aging athlete after a lifetime of activity has taken its toll. He is also one of a few surgeons north of Seattle who treat hip labrum tears and who perform PRP injections.Dr. Haeder moved to Whatcom County with his wife Amanda, who grew up in Ferndale, and his 3 children.
