
Overview
Jessica Lee, DO, is a triple board-certified hematologist-oncologist specializing in gastrointestinal cancer. For Dr. Lee, communication and collaboration are key components of the patient-physician relationship. She understands the devastation and disruption a cancer diagnosis may have on an individual and their family members. Her role is to alleviate the burden of uncertainty and to work closely with each patient to meet their unique needs.It is Dr. Lee’s priority to convey the latest evidence in treatment and prognosis in a concise and compassionate manner. As part of the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Cancer Center, Dr. Lee collaborates closely in a multidisciplinary effort to include all expertise from all aspects of the cancer care spectrum. Each individual is reviewed for their pathology, imaging, staging and unique molecular profile by a team of experts to determine the best course of action. During treatment, each individual’s psychosocial needs are addressed through collaboration with palliative care, mental health and social work teams. Support groups and activities are available through Cancer Lifeline. Clinical trial enrollment may also be offered.Dr. Lee is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American College of Physicians and American Osteopathic Association.
