I double trained in my specialty, first in Poland and then in the United States. I was born in Poland at the tail end of the last polio epidemic. Children I grew up with were living with post-disease disabilities. When I was about 5 years old, I made up my mind that I would be a doctor who could help children and search for cures. Children are a joy to work with. They have phenomenal potential to bounce back if you give them a chance and the tools. I want to help every child that comes to me for care. My goal is to improve their quality of life to the highest degree possible. There is always a lot you can do to make a child’s life happier, no matter  where they’re starting from in their physical capabilities.
