Dr. Song chose to be a doctor because I wanted to spend my life making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. When choosing a specialty, I wanted to find something that I would find fulfilling. Spine surgery is intellectually challenging and I love a good challenge. I am most satisfied by correcting spinal deformities and doing complicated revisions. There is nothing like reconstructing a patient's spine and giving them their quality of life back. I spend a lot of my time counseling my patients so they feel informed and confident in the treatment course that we decide on. He completed medical training at UCLA and residency at The University of Rochester in New York.
