Dr. Bruce Perler completed his internship and residency in general surgery, and a clinical and research fellowship in vascular surgery, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Perler had edited several textbooks including Vascular Intervention: A Clinical Approach, Advances in Vascular Surgery, and Rutherfords Vascular Surgery. He is currently the Co-Editor of Rutherford's Textbook of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy, 9th edition. Karen M. Horton, M.D., is a Professor of Radiology and the Chair of Radiology for the Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology and Radiological Science. Dr. Horton’s clinical and research focus is on abdominal CT imaging, 3D imaging of the gastrointestinal tract and the mesenteric vessels, and virtual colonoscopy. She has published over 170 scientific papers, numerous book chapters and was the Johns Hopkins principle investigator in the National CT Colonography Trial.
