Dr. Sang Le was born in Vietnam, but together with his parents and his siblings fled the country in late 1979 on a fishing boat in search of a better life. After living in a refugee camp in Indonesia for several months, his family was sponsored to come to Southern California. Dr. Le attended the University of California, Los Angeles and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Cybernetics and Molecular Biology in 2001.
