He completed a residency in internal medicine at Kern Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in hematology, oncology and bone marrow transplant at the combined UCLA-Veterans Administration Program and The National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Boccia is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology and the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation.
