Dr. Jonathan D. Woody, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1989. He then attended the Wake Forest University School of Medicine where he received his Medical Degree in 1993.Upon graduating from Medical School, Dr. Woody completed his internship and surgical residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He has authored or co-authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and been an invited speaker at local, regional and national meetings.Dr Woody relocated to Athens, Georgia when he joined Athens Vascular Surgery in 2005. The practice has continued to grow and has evolved into University Vascular which employs six vascular surgeons and eight physician extenders.
