Philosophy of care | When treating patients, I imagine how I would want to be treated and incorporate that into every interaction. I treat many diseases of the head and neck, ranging from problems breathing through the nose to cancers of the sinuses and skull base, so there is no single treatment for everyone. I strive to explain the disease process, sometimes using diagrams or images to help with the anatomy and location of the problem as well as my treatment recommendations. Communication is key when dealing with complex disease, and I strive to keep an open line of conversation. | Why I entered medicine | Medicine provides the opportunity to truly help and directly impact lives. I chose a career in medicine to not only help my patients, but also to help advance the field. I was drawn to otolaryngology, a specialty focused on the ears, nose and throat, because it offered an opportunity to work with patients of all ages and treat many diseases, from sore throats to complex cancers. | Community involvement | As a rhinologist living in the Lehigh Valley, I strive to bring awareness to disease of the sinuses. | Personal interests | In my free time I enjoy traveling and being outdoors. I love hiking, backpacking and exploring. When at home, I enjoy spending time with my family and experimenting with new recipes and cuisines.
