She went on to complete both her pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship training at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. She pursued additional training in pediatric electrophysiology at the Medical University of South Carolina and joined the MUSC faculty as a pediatric electrophysiologist in 2011. He received postgraduate training in general surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, and spent two years as a research fellow in fetal and cardiovascular surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. He received cardiothoracic surgical training at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Carolyn Taylor's clinical interests are in the areas of pediatric cardiac imaging, fetal echocardiography, and assessment of cardiac performance by echocardiography. She is currently on the cardiology faculty at Medical University of South Carolina where she is the medical director of the Pediatric Echocardiography Laboratory.
