Overview
Dr. Veneziano is originally from the East Coast. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Providence College and then attended medical school at New York Medical College. He remained in New York, completing his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Westchester Medical Center and St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center of Manhattan. This program incorporated rotations through top institutions including The Hospital for Special Surgery, rated the #1 US hospital for orthopedics, and the well-respected NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. During residency, he worked as an assistant team physician for the professional hockey team New York Rangers.
After residency, he moved to Washington, DC where he received intensive training in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery at the Georgetown University Hospital/Nirschl Orthopedic Center for Sports Medicine and Joint Reconstruction. There, he was responsible for the care of athletes of all levels from grade school to professional and trained with the team physician for the NFL’s Washington Redskins.
Dr. Veneziano is double boarded in both Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He sees patients for general orthopedic problems and injuries and specializes in sports injuries. He is fellowship trained in minimally invasive surgeries of the shoulder and knee, including ACL and meniscus tears, as well as rotator cuff and labrum tears. He has served as Chief of Orthopedics at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center for many years and is a current Board.
