Eric D. Levens, M.D., FACOG, received his bachelor of science degree with highest distinction from Indiana University-Bloomington. He then pursued his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and went on to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida. He continued his training as a clinical fellow in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Levens is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and subspecialty board certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He has been focused on infertility for the last decade of his career. In addition to an active clinical practice, Dr. Levens is committed to improving the success of fertility care through active research and national advocacy. He has authored more than 85 publications in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility, including for the prestigious Journal of the American Medical Association. Dr. Levens has served on Infertility National Advisory Boards and has been a part of the American Medical Association, where he has worked to develop policy to improve access to fertility care, including insurance coverage for fertility preservation. He is chair of the Quality Assurance Committee for the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technologies, the professional organization that oversees the delivery of in vitro fertilization care throughout the United States. He is also a member of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, a selective national group recognizing fewer than a thousand physicians, and previously served on the practice committee, developing national patient care guidelines. As a former Howard Hughes medical scholar, Dr. Swelstad has received several academic and clinical honors during his career, including Outstanding Resident in OB/GYN, and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society Scholarship, a merit-based award for excellence in research. He has served as both medical director of a fertility practice and university clinical instructor for OB/GYN residents. Dr. Swelstad is a fellow of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. His personal interests include fly fishing, white water rafting, photography, soccer, tennis, skiing, running, and cooking. An accomplished researcher, Dr. Hsu has contributed to more than 15 presentations across the country on topics including intrauterine insemination (IUI), anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She has also served as a peer-reviewer for several publications including the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics. Dr. Hsu is very active in the medical community, with experience as a lecturer and oral examiner at Harvard Medical School.
