His research interests include using transcranial magnetic stimulation and functional imaging to understand motor cortical reorganization following stroke and designing and testing new methods for neurorehabilitation. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a member of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping, the Neural Control of Movement Society, the International Society of Motor Control, the American Neurological Association, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
