He is also an associate professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He earned his bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and his fellowship at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He also earned his master's degree in Medical Education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He has notably been named Fellow of the Year, faculty Teacher of the Year, Pediatric Clerkship Preceptor of the Year, recognized by the Department Chair as one of the top department educators, and has been awarded the Teri Li Young Educator Award from the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, & Nutrition.
