Madhura Yeshwant Phadke, MD, is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist and director of the Pancreas Disorders Center at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr. Phadke earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She went on to complete a pediatrics internship and residency at Maimonides Medical Center/ Children’s Hospital of Brooklyn, followed by both a clinical fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition as well as a research fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Phadke’s academic and research interests include cystic fibrosis, pancreatitis, the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, abdominal pain, and exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. She is a recipient of the DIGEST award from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which promotes specialty training for managing GI complications of cystic fibrosis. Dr. Phadke is originally from Western Pa. and is very happy to be caring for the community where she grew up.
