Overview
Frank Powell, MD, is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has performed breast and general surgery in Newnan, Georgia, for the last 30 years. He is a 6th generation physician practicing in Coweta County and treats all types of abdominal wall hernias, gastrointestinal tract disorders, and gallbladder diseases. He did research at the Swiss Red Cross in Bern, Switzerland in overwhelming bacterial infections. Over the last 15 years, he has taken a particular interest in breast cancer, including high-risk patients, although he has taken care of breast cancer throughout his entire career. He played an instrumental role in establishing the Newnan Breast Center and the Piedmont Newnan Hospital Combined Breast Clinic.
In addition, he enjoys hunting and spending time on the lake with his family in his spare time.
