Shameema Sikder, M.D. is an ophthalmologist who specializes in corneal disorders, such as Fuchs' dystrophy and keratoconus, as well as complex cataracts. Dr. Sikder returned to Wilmer in 2011 and served as assistant chief of service (chief resident) and associate director of ocular trauma. She was the inaugural medical director of the Wilmer Eye Institute in Bethesda in 2014, where she continues to care for patients.
