When it comes to patient care, I feel it is vital to stop and listen to the patient and truly engage with them. I strive to show the patient I care about them as a whole person, not just the problem they present with to the office. Often, the issues that are presented do not have a cure, but lending a listening ear can help the patient feel valued, cared for, and comforted. I have been working in the neurology field prior to coming to Duke. I have experience with general neurology as well as sleep and epilepsy. I am excited to help grow the Comprehensive Center for Epilepsy here at Duke with a specific interest in women with epilepsy. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my French bulldog, Oliver, and my two nieces, as well as hiking, camping, baking, and taking weekend trips to the mountains or beach. Dr. White is rated as an Advanced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Urea Cycle Disorders (UCD).
