Dr. Jenelle E. Foote

Joye K. Lowman MD, MPH, FACOG, FPMRS, earned her medical degree from The University of Pennsylvania, her masters degree from Columbia University and completed her residency at Abington Memorial Hospital. She completed her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) at Indiana University, the first accredited program in the country and one of the top training programs in the country. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Spelman College and is dual board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. In 2000, she also completed her Masters in Public Health at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.Dr. Lowman has been practicing medicine for 18 years. She is the only African American graduate of the esteemed Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship program at Indiana University Purdue Institute. Dr. Lowman has won awards for outstanding research in the field of Urogynecology and presented her research nationally and in South Africa. She moved back to Atlanta to start the Urogynecology department for Kaiser Permanente in 2008 and lead that department for 10 years.In her spare time, Dr. Lowman enjoys spending time with her family and her Labrador retriever.
