I decided to become an obstetrician/gynecologist because I loved delivering babies, however, after seeing how treatment of pelvic floor disorders changed women’s lives I decided to specialize in urogynecology. I have been fortunate to be involved in research that has made a real difference in the lives of my patients. As part of my commitment to share the knowledge gained with other doctors, I have published several papers in national medical journals. As president of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) in 2013, I participated in the development of many national programs to improve the lives of women with bladder leakage and vaginal prolapse. My main clinical interest includes performing robotic sacrocolpopexy, a highly successful, minimally invasive treatment for patients with advanced pelvic organ prolapse. I provide gynecologic and specialist care for pelvic floor conditions.
