Dr. James S. Dunn

Dr. James S. Dunn, Jr. is a board certified gynecologist and fellowship-trained urogynecologist practicing in the Sierra Foothills. Dr. Dunn received his Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1991 and his medical degree from Louisiana State University-New Orleans in 1995. He completed his residency training in the Air Force at Keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS and completed a tree year fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. He moved to Auburn, CA in the summer of 2008 to serve the Sierra Foothill community.Dr. Dunn is active in national professional societies like the American Urogynecology Society and Interstitial Cystitis Association. He has written many articles in medical journals and serves as a preceptor for advance Urogynecology procedures. He is an active member of the medical leadership at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital and was recently elected to be Chief of Staff starting January 2017.Dr. Dunn is married and a father of two. His wife Katrina is a registered nurse and manages Auburn Urogynecology. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling home to watch LSU and Saints football, hiking, skiing, and golf.It is not a normal part of a woman's aging process to develop uncomfortable, troublesome symptoms of incontinence, prolapse, or pelvic pain.
