Overview
Dr. Abbas Jafri earned his medical degree from Aga Kahn University Medical School in Karachi, Pakistan. He then completed his residency training in internal medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School. Board certified in internal medicine, hospice and palliative care, Dr. Jafri has clinical interests that include chronic disease management, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases and geriatric care. Fluent in Urdu and Hindi, he provides personalized care to patients 16 years and older. In practice since 2002, Dr. Jafri emphasizes wellness and preventive health care. He believes in treating each patient with courtesy and respect, using the latest advances in medicine to provide the best possible care. He does his own rounds for his patients in the hospital, skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation institutions. Dr. Jafri is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the Rotary Club of The Woodlands. He and his wife have a son and daughter and in his spare time he enjoys traveling and meeting new people.
