Dr. Alexander R. Shusko

Alexander Shusko, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained uveitis specialist with advanced expertise in complex ocular inflammatory disease and medication-related eye toxicity. He focuses on the diagnosis and management of uveitis and autoimmune eye disease, including cases associated with systemic rheumatologic and inflammatory disorders, and has a particular interest in the ocular side effects of modern systemic therapies such as immunotherapy and other immune-modulating agents. Working closely with rheumatologists, oncologists, and other subspecialists, Dr. Shusko helps co-manage patients whose vision is threatened by both their underlying disease and the treatments required to control it.
