Overview
Dr. Coppola began practicing in Bakersfield in 1983. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and his medical degree at the University of Southern California before returning to UCI as a resident.Dr. Coppola's specialties include arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, anterior hip replacement, and total joint replacements of the hip and knee. Dr. Coppola believes in using minimally invasive techniques whenever possible. He also treats a variety of sports related injuries and fracture care.He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and has been a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery since 1986. He is past president of the Kern County Medical Society and past chief of staff of Mercy Hospitals. Dr. Coppola has held many leadership positions in community health organizations, including serving on the community board of directors for Mercy Hospitals.Dr. Coppola enjoys fly-fishing in the Sierras and off-roading in his spare time.Hello.
