Overview
Andrew I. Gitkind, MD, MHA, is Vice Chair, Rehabilitation Medicine, Medical Director, Montefiore Spine Center and Associate Professor, Rehabilitation Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery and Anesthesiology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Gitkind’s clinical focus is on the management of acute and chronic spine pain. He uses a variety of conservative management as well as interventional techniques to help guide patients back to a high level of function and satisfaction. Most recently, Dr. Gitkind became one of a few physicians in the area to offer basivertebral nerve ablation to patients suffering from chronic axial lower back pain.
His clinical expertise encompasses Foot Drop, Spinal Stenosis, Facet Joint Syndrome, and Scoliosis.
