After medical school, he completed a one year research fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. He went on to complete an Internal Medicine residency at Louisiana State University in Lafayatte, LA and a fellowship in Hematology & Medical Oncology at Oakland University - William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. In addition to his clinical interest of community hematology & oncology, Dr. Konde has also presented his research work at national and international meetings/conferences.
