Overview
My approach to patient care is to facilitate my patient’s ability to make informed decisions about their health. I practice with the philosophy that focusing on preventive care, whether through vaccines, exercise and proper nutrition, or just general health maintenance, helps provide the best outcomes. Being able to participate in this journey throughout the lives of patients across all ages is what drew me to a primary care setting. I also have an interest in orthopedics and sports medicine. I was born in Indiana, but grew up in a small town outside of Charlotte, NC. I have since lived in and around the Raleigh-Durham area. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and our dog. I also enjoy photography as well as running and cycling, and I compete in triathlons occasionally.

I am honored to care for our patients with brain and spinal cord tumors, as well as supporting their loved ones as we navigate this challenging diagnosis together. I strive to help patients find their balance between aggressive, cutting-edge brain cancer treatment and protecting their quality of life. It's important to me to care for the whole person with attention to fitness, nutrition, and mental health. I live in Chapel Hill with my husband and two children.
