Dr. Brinda Kantha

Brinda Kantha, DO, is a fellowship-trained physiatrist with Atlantic Medical Group. Board-certified in pain medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Kantha believes in providing personalized care to patients of all ages and restoring function to all following injury/trauma. She provides compassionate care and treatment to patients suffering from spine pain, myofascial, musculoskeletal and joint pain. She is particularly adept at interventional spine procedures for neck and low back pain. She also has certifications in global mental health: trauma and recovery from Harvard Medical School and in medical acupuncture from Helms Medical Institute at UCLA.After earning her osteopathic medicine degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Kantha completed her physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Temple University/Moss Rehabilitation Hospital, where she served as chief resident and clinical instructor. She completed her sports and interventional spine medicine clinical fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia. Before joining AMG, she served as an associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, and as medical director of a rehabilitation and sports medicine practice in Somerset County.Dr. Kantha is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the International Society of Interventional Spine. She has provided presentations and lectures at national and international medical conferences and her research has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals. Dr. Kantha is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
