His research has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals, and he has served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Diabetes Research and Therapy and is on the editorial board of Internal Medicine News. He was won numerous awards, including the Outstanding National Clinician Award from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists in 2023, Castle Connolly's Top Doctors, Consumers' Checkbook Guide to Top Doctors; Best Doctors in America, Marquis: Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who's Who in the World.
