Overview
My overall approach to caring for patients is to treat everyone how I would like to be treated. This dates back to my humble beginnings in Nigeria, and it remains my guiding principle. Following medical training in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, I immigrated to the U.S., where I finished my internal medicine training. I also completed my fellowship training in general gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, with further sub-specialization in transplant hepatology. My patients include people with diseases affecting their pancreas, gall bladder, liver and gastrointestinal tract. I also take care of patients with complex liver disease processes, as well as those who are going to be considered for liver transplantation. A lot of my patients have chronic illnesses; I look forward to building trust and being an integral part of their journey towards good health. I enjoy spending time with patients, as I believe that listening and providing appropriate education are integral parts of holistic patient care.
