
Overview
Dr. Christopher Mart is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist at Orlando Health Children's Heart Institute, specializing in pediatric cardiology care and 3D echocardiography. He joins Orlando Health with more than three decades of medical experience and in that time has served in several director positions and established and ran a neonatal echocardiography training program. He specializes in treating all forms of congenital heart disease, like heterotaxy syndrome, hypertrophic cardiopathy, hypoplastic left heart syndrome and tricuspid atresia. Dr. Mart earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, where he also received bachelor’s degrees in biology and chemistry. He completed a pediatric residency at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and performed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Syracuse. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and his professional memberships include the Western Society of Pediatric Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography. He is a professor of cardiology, and his work has been published in peer-reviewed journals nearly two dozen times on topics that include transcarotid balloon valvuloplasty, transesophageal echocardiography and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.
