Born and raised in Spanish Fork, Utah, Dr. Hickman attended Brigham Young University in Provo for his undergraduate studies. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, University of North Texas Health Science Center. He completed an internship at JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas before finishing a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Most recently, Dr. Hickman finished an Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine Fellowship completed at the University of Utah. Fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. A board certified physician, Dr. Hickman’s clinical interests are focused on the neurologic and musculoskeletal system through the evaluation and treatment of spine, joint, and tendon-related disorders. He provides each patient with big-city training and a small-town feel. He performs 'Basivertebral Nerve Ablation'.“I enjoy helping people obtain their desired level of function, whether that's mountain biking the Kokopelli trail or walking through the grocery store. I know spine and musculoskeletal problems arise effortlessly and I will fight alongside my patients to help find the solution to their pain. I believe a motivated patient can improve their lifestyle and I am here to guide that process of healing and optimization.”Dr. Hickman is married and a father of four. He enjoys exploring the outdoors, camping, riding dirt/mountain bikes, playing sports (all of them), horse riding, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
