Dr. Deniz Atilgan

Dr. Deniz Atilgan is a neurologist who specializes in epilepsy for patients ages 18 and older. He has extensive experience managing complex epilepsy and neurology cases with a special focus on electroencephalography (EEG); intracranial electroencephalography (iEEG); magnetoencephalography (MEG); and comprehensive seizure management. He also performs stereo electroencephalography (SEEG); reads and interprets EEGs; and collaborates with other specialists to support optimal patient outcomes. Dr. Atilgan's mission is to provide high quality, comprehensive epileptic care to his patients and their families, ensuring they have the most up-to-date treatment options and proper education to make informed medical decisions. He is also dedicated to advancing the epilepsy field through innovative research, medical education, and continuous professional development. Dr. Atilgan is an assistant professor with the Division of Epilepsy in the Department of Neurology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Epilepsy Society.

His clinical expertise encompasses Bilateral Perisylvian Polymicrogyria, Polymicrogyria, Absence Seizure, and Generalized Tonic-Clonic Seizure.

Dr. Atilgan is board certified in Drug Enforcement Administration , Missouri Dept Of Health/Narcotics&Dangerous Drugs , and Missouri State Board Of Registration. He is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 3 peer reviewed articles.
