My approach to all my patients is to first listen and then act as a guide. This allows us to make the best medical decisions together, because we base them on a person’s health as well as their values. Throughout my training I have come to recognize that each person is unique, so their medical plan should be too. Ultimately, my role is to help the patient make the most informed decisions possible. I enjoy my specialty of gastroenterology because I can have an impact on patients’ health today as well as years down the road.
