Dr. Fred P. Heidenreich
Overview
Fred P. Heidenreich, MD, is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Washington University in St. Louis and his pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Shriners Hospital for Children in St. Louis. Dr. Heidenreich is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He takes special interest in sports medicine, knee replacement surgery, hip replacement surgery, as well as arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee including rotator cuff surgery and ACL reconstruction. Dr. Heidenreich has served as team physician for Valley High School for several years and currently serves as clinical instructor of orthopaedic surgery for the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Heidenreich is a member of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Heidenreich and his partners at Three Rivers Orthopedic Associates-UPMC were recently acknowledged among Pittsburgh’s “Best Doctors” in 2016 by Best Doctors Inc. in Pittsburgh Magazine.
