
Overview
Dr. Gregory Mulford is a sports medicine specialist at Atlantic Medical Group Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Mulford has devoted his career to the non-surgical management of patients with sports-related injuries. A former competitive athlete, Dr. Mulford brings a personal perspective to rehabilitation without the need for surgery. He is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation with subspecialty certification in sports medicine. He received his medical degree from Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeon, where he served as chief resident. Most recently, Dr. Mulford has served as chairman of the board for Atlantic Medical Group. His administrative roles have also included chairman of rehabilitation medicine for Morristown Medical Center and medical director of post-acute services for Atlantic Health System. Dr. Mulford is a clinical associate professor of rehabilitation medicine at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School, a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA), and a former president of the New Jersey Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr Mulford has lectured nationally on a variety of topics and has been recognized for over 15 consecutive years by his peers as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly, NY Metro Area, and Inside New Jersey. He was recognized nationally among the 2018 Top 1% of Physicians by American Registry, and was selected for the inaugural class of The Academy GE Fellows Program for physician executives. Dr. Mulford is also a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
