Dustin Deming, MD, is a UW Health medical oncologist with a clinical emphasis on gastrointestinal cancers, including colon, rectal, anal, esophageal, liver and pancreatic cancers. He is also a professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care. Dr. Deming is known for his commitment to delivering evidence‑based, compassionate care to patients facing complex cancer diagnoses.Dr. Deming’s research program focuses on developing improved treatments for specific subtypes of colon cancer and other gastrointestinal malignancies. He believes that listening to patients is essential. He listens to their concerns and educates them about their condition and treatment options. He is excited about the many new discoveries happening now in the field of medical oncology and offers personalized care to best meet his patients’ needs.In addition to his clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Liu researches new cancer therapies.
