Dustin Deming, MD, is a UW Health medical oncologist with a clinical emphasis on gastrointestinal cancers, including colon, rectal, anal, esophageal, liver and pancreatic cancers. He is also a professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care. He was drawn to the possibility of conducting research that could have a positive impact on the care he provides. He currently leads studies on immune-based treatments, like vaccines, for prostate cancer and is the director of Solid Tumor Immunology Research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center.Dr. McNeel is a musician and spends his free time playing the pipe organ.My hope for each patient is that they find either a treatment or an outcome that works best for them and works best for their family.
