She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado - Boulder and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Dr. Petersen completed an Internal Medicine Internship with the University of Utah – Salt Lake City and an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency with Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
