Overview
I am initially from Cleveland, OH and have spent most of my life in Ohio before moving to Michigan. I studied Biological Sciences and Spanish at Vanderbilt University, spent one year as a research coordinator in Columbus, and attended medical school at The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Medicine. I completed my pediatric residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital/OSU and my pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. I also completed a Masters of Medical Education through the University of Cincinnati.I spent time during medical school participating in many Gold Humanism Honor Society events as well as endeavors such as writing poetry and learning to dance. I believe in holistic, personal care for my patients and I will be excited to get to know every child and their caregivers. I have broad interests in many types of pediatric GI processes, from reflux, constipation, and abdominal pain to more long term conditions such as celiac disease and IBD. Since I am also interested in medical education, you may meet a learner or trainee when you see come to see me, but you will always see me as well. Think of it as two doctors/brains for the price of one!In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, running, reading, and playing board games with my husband. We also love to cheer for our favorite sports teams. I am a big fan of the US Women's (and Men's) soccer teams, the Cleveland Guardians/Browns/Cavs, and of course, the Ohio State Buckeyes. But don't worry - even if you are a Michigan fan, we will get along just fine!.
