Dr. Jillian M. Mclaughlin

Dr. Robon did his undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from medical school at The Ohio State University. He completed his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital. Earlier, in his years as a competitive All-American swimmer, Dr. Robon endured years of medical treatment for multiple orthopaedic injuries. These experiences shaped his practice philosophy today; good patient care involves making accurate and timely diagnoses, but equally important is treating patients with respect and compassion. By helping his patients understand their problem, this not only results in the treatment of the immediate problem, but hopefully, helps to avoid future injuries and pain. Additionally, Dr. Robon is married and has three sons. He and his wife enjoy exploring the great outdoors by skiing, hiking, golfing and trail running in the Cascades. Dr. Robon is Board-certified in Hand and Orthopedic Surgery. He treats patients with all types of orthopaedic fractures in addition to his specialty focus in hand and upper extremity surgery. Dr. Susarla is an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. These were followed by fellowship training in Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at Seattle Children's Hospital/University of Washington Harborview Medical Center.Dr. Susarla's clinical practice focuses on pediatric and adult craniomaxillofacial reconstructive surgery, including management of craniosynostosis, cleft lip and palate, dentofacial deformities, maxillofacial pathology, and primary and secondary reconstruction following facial trauma.He has an active research portfolio, with over 250 peer-reviewed publications and several dozen book chapters. He currently serves on the editorial boards for a number of journals including Craniomaxillofacial Trauma and Reconstruction, the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open. He has given over 40 invited talks nationally and internationally on subjects related to pediatric craniofacial surgery, orthognathic surgery, and facial trauma reconstruction.Dr. Susarla is one of the few craniomaxillofacial surgeons in the country who is board certified in both Plastic Surgery and Oral/Maxillofacial surgery.
