My philosophy of care is to treat all patients as individuals, and I strive to do whatever it takes to make sure they are receiving the best care. I treat my patients holistically, ensuring they are physically, mentally and spiritually fit. I strive to make sure the patient feels heard and is included in their individual plan of care. My special clinical interests include neurosciences, headaches, strokes, dementia and seizures. I am also interested in chronic and acute medical conditions across the lifespan.|Why I Love My Work|I truly enjoy working with patients, playing a vital role in educating patients and assisting with triaging and carrying out provider orders.|Getting to Know Me|Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love camping, fishing, hunting and taking photos. I enjoy running my four children to their sports and watching them grow and achieve personal and team goals. I am also the head swim coach in Holdingford.

I am a board-certified neurologist and clinical geneticist with special interest in movement disorders, such as Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, hereditary ataxias and spastic paraplegias, as well as other neurogenetic disorders. I have served as the medical director of the Struthers Parkinson's Center since 2000. In addition to the care of patients and families with neurologic diseases, I am also involved in clinical research to develop better treatments for Parkinson's disease and Huntington's disease. I am interested in education for both patients and medical professionals. I currently serve as a clinical professor of neurology at the University of Minnesota.
