Overview
Although she was born in Maryland, Dr. Julie Brantley has lived in Texas since childhood and considers herself a Native Texan. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology at Trinity University in San Antonio and her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB). She completed a surgery internship at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston and returned to UTMB for her dermatology residency, where she received the Faculty Award for Excellent Dermatology Research her final year. Dr. Brantley, who is board certified in dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), has practiced since 2009. Her clinical interests include medical dermatology, skin cancer prevention and cosmetic dermatology. She routinely treats skin infections, acne and benign skin lesions (moles). Her patients rate her as excellent, citing her thoroughness of exams, friendliness and caring attitude. Dr. Brantley lives in The Woodlands with her husband and son. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, Pilates and shuttling among her son’s sports activities.
