Dr. Katherine L. Florecki

Dr. Katherine L. Florecki is a trauma and acute care surgeon and surgical intensivist at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She obtained her medical degree from The University of Medicine and Health Sciences and completed her surgical residency at Sinai Hospital. She subsequently completed a surgical critical care fellowship followed by an acute care surgery fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Outside of her clinical work, her passion is medical education.

Her clinical expertise encompasses Necrotizing Fasciitis, Venous Thromboembolism (VTE), Ogilvie Syndrome, Gallbladder Removal, and Gastrostomy.

Dr. Florecki is board certified in American Board Of Surgery. She is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 12 peer reviewed articles.
