
Overview
Dr. Cox graduated magna cum laude from Rice University and then earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. After her internship in Surgery, she completed her Dermatology residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston - MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she served as chief resident during her final year. She was in private practice in Houston for six years prior to joining the Baylor Scott & White Health family in Round Rock and Pflugerville. Dr. Cox is a board-certified dermatologist by the American Board of Dermatology and is constantly dedicated to practicing effective evidence-based medicine with a focus on improving quality of life for her patients. She specializes in treating patients of all ages with any medical dermatologic condition, from skin cancer to common benign conditions. She also is a procedural dermatologist and surgically removes both malignant and benign growths. Dr. Cox considers herself a Texan after moving a lot in her childhood with her Navy family. She now lives in Austin with her husband, two children and cocker spaniel. Dr. Cox has been selected as a Texas Monthly magazine Texas Rising Star physician in 2017, 2018 and 2019, and a Texas Super Doc in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. The honor recognizes providers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
