Overview
As a youth, I was interested in both science and music. However, helping and teaching others became my passion. Several doctors with excellent bedside manner took care of me and inspired me to become a physician . I realize now that my quest for knowledge to help make other lives better is an ongoing lifetime role for me. What I want my patients to know about me:I don't believe in a pill for every ailment. Many patient get so much better when I remove unnecessary medications. Exercise and a healthy diet is the best medicine and is my first recommendation. Adequate sleep, great relationships, laughter and getting out into nature can make a huge difference. My goal is to educate you and to give you tools to make your own decisions while helping to prevent future problems. I truly enjoy the problem solving aspect of diagnosis of difficult cases. I have additional training in some dermatology and skin surgical techniques for prompt removal of skin cancers. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I enjoy traveling with my husband and spending time with my grown children. I have kept up many long term friendships and church activities. I enjoy my mini red poodle who is now one of the family. I exercise daily with either hiking, biking, skiing, kickboxing or yoga.
