
Overview
Dr. Lindsey Harris grew up in Beaumont. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her medical degree from McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). At UTHealth, she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received the American Medical Women’s Association Janet M. Glasgow Achievement Award. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine, where she served as chief resident and received awards for high ethical and humane standards and for best research. She also completed a fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Harris is board certified in ophthalmology and has been in practice since 2000. She treats eye injuries, eye infections, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, corneal diseases, strabismus, macular degeneration, eye pain, toxoplasmosis, uveitis, cataracts, retinitis pigmentosa and other vision issues. She also performs eye exams, LASIK surgery and retina surgery. Active in the community, Dr. Harris has served on the board of trustees of the Houston Eye Associates Foundation, the executive committee of the Christus Foundation for Healthcare, the board of directors of the Junior League of Houston and the advisory board of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese Galveston-Houston.
