Overview
Luis Faverio, MD, is co-director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine where he has practiced since 2011. Dr. Faverio attended medical school at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. He completed his pediatric residency training at The Children's Hospital at SUNY Downstate, New York, and served an additional year in the program as chief resident.Dr. Faverio completed his fellowship at the Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. During his fellowship, he performed research in the use of RespiGam™ for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). He also conducted research in the use of high-frequency chest wall oscillators as a therapy for patients with cystic fibrosis.Prior to joining Orlando Health Arnold Palmer, Dr. Faverio served 12 years as director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center in Fort Myers, Florida. Dr. Faverio is fluent in both English and Spanish.
