Daniel F. Garcia, MD, is co-director of the sleep medicine program at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He is board certified in general pediatrics, pediatric pulmonology and pediatric sleep medicine, and joined the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine specialty practice in 2006.Dr. Garcia is a graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, and performed a pediatric pulmonology fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston. During his fellowship, he conducted research in the area of viral respiratory disease epidemiology and prevention, with a focus on respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and human metapneumovirus infections in children with cystic fibrosis.He is an attending faculty member with the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer pediatric residency program and a clinical assistant professor for Florida State University College of Medicine and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. His clinical interests are asthma, sleep medicine, allergic rhinitis, viral respiratory infections and cystic fibrosis.Dr. Garcia is fluent in both English and Spanish.
