Overview
I enjoy the field of dermatology because skin, hair and nails provide a window to a patient's overall health. They can reveal undetected systemic medical problems. I work with a variety of patients, from children to the elderly, covering all aspects of general dermatology. One of my special interests is treating and preventing skin cancers. I spend time educating patients, checking for problems and removing skin cancers. I like the mix of medical and surgical skills required in dermatology. When I meet with patients, I strive to make them feel at ease so they can be honest and open about their concerns. I encourage patients to ask questions so they can be involved in the decision-making process for their treatments. I love good teamwork and enjoy interacting with my nursing staff and other physicians. Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I'm married with two young children.
